After war painter Simon Norfolk, here’s another example of a visual intelligence devoted to explore today’s world and the great issues digested and redigested through mass media: we too want to remind Paolo Woods’ work, because in photography we prefer the authors to the witnesses, because we appreciate when a photographer plunges himself or herself into the world and never makes us forget that we are watching the fruits of the photographer's work, and not any supposed trace of reality exactly as it should be.
Here you can find a slideshow of his work in Iran from TIME, with Woods commenting, here an interview about his past works
American Chaos and A Crude World.
