The inhabited space seems to be the core of Alex Crétey-Systermans's work, with unexpected beautiful portraiture to fill the gaps between one man-altered landscape and the other, and close-ups of objects and other amenities to complete the trio of ingredients we got so used to describe as 'documentary photography' these days.
But has it always been like that or is it something that belongs to our present time? And, most of all, will it become something else someday?
