Cosmic delight

The light of an enlarger, a colour negative, a sheet of photographic paper, some domestic detritus: of all the possible results of this combination, it is hard to imagine it can create cosmogonies, space storms, solar winds.

Instar by Meghann Junell Riepenhoff is a celebration of the union of emulsion with light, the impossible fusion of abstraction and pure matter. Sometimes photography allows you to imagine anything you want, and it is always a welcome gift.


La luce di un ingranditore, un negativo a colori, un foglio di carta fotografica, residui materici domestici: di tutti i risultati possibili, è difficile immaginare che questa miscela possa generare cosmogonie, tempeste spaziali, venti solari.

Instar di Meghann Junell Riepenhoff è una lode del connubio tra luce e emulsione, la fusione impossibile di astrazione e di materia allo stato puro. Fotografia che permette di immaginare ciò che si vuole - un dono sempre gradito.
